The Forward Planning team is a central function that plans and designs the marketing laydown for all key brands throughout the N Brown business.

As Marketing and Media Planning Lead within the Forward Planning team, you will work with both internal and external teams to develop marketing strategies and build media plans across our key brands such as JD Williams, Jacamo, Simply Be and Home Essentials.

Your role as Marketing and Media Planning Lead here at N Brown:

  • You will be working with our external media agency to plan and build forward facing media strategies, ensuring that media spend is allocated in the most effective way, whilst maintaining efficiency.
  • You will be working with internal teams such as product and brand to ensure the forward facing plans are aligned to trading events and brand propositions.
  • You will be responsible for developing, along side internal teams, the framework and concepts of key moments in the retail calendar, such as Black Friday, Christmas and Bank Holiday executions.
  • You will take the lead and be the day-to day point of contact for our media agency, assisting in the evaluation of media and partnership opportunities for our brands.
  • You will lead the evaluation of media channels and potential partnership activations to identify opportunities that will drive the business forward and enable brands to achieve their commercial goals.
  • You will build and collate planning presentations and media plans to assist in the handover of activity once it has been planned.

What experience are we looking for?

  • A strong understanding of media and how it can be utilised to achieve brand objectives.
  • Experience working within marketing departments, previous experience within Fashion/Home Retail is preferable.
  • Analytically inquisitive and commercially minded.
  • Comfortable interpreting data and able to carry insights into forward planning.
  • A good communicator both written and verbally.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfortable managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Takes initiative and is self-motivated.
  • Able to work at pace and meet deadlines.
