N Brown has seen strong online growth and is becoming a true leader in the market. As the Head of Trade, you will lead your Brand to continue to drive this growth whilst ensuring we deliver the best possible customer experience throughout their online journey.

You will have strong commercial drive and acumen, a customer-first attitude with proven experience in a digitally led retail environment. Understanding and championing the customer, with a strong opinion to shape and drive the forward strategy is key . Experienced in leading commercial marketing and ecommerce teams, with a clear result focus, excited by change and innovation.

Reporting to the Group Director of Merchandise & Trade this role is fundamental to delivering the commercial objectives and targets of the business.

What you’ll do:

  • To drive online and app sales for your Brand to deliver against agreed commercial plans and forecasts.
  • To be the Brand champion and advocate leading the Performance Squad to manage the in-season trading of online products and promotions to achieve P&L targets, to include:-
  • Feedback into divisions on factors impacting trade performance and agree SLA’s to offer alternative solutions:
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in performance and ROI; and
  • Monitor and drive the Commercial and Operational Performance, of the Performance Squad.
  • Execution of the product selling plan e.g. launching new phases of products.
  • Reacting to trends and current affairs impacting, or likely to impact, Trade (PEST) (political, economic, socio-cultural and technological) e.g. adverse weather, pandemic etc. 
  • Driving improvements in conversion and category bounce rates.
  • Optimising the product offer for core customer groups and business targets.
  • Understanding and driving customer behaviour to deliver the best customer journey/experience.
  • Delivering the best customer experience possible with support from the UX teams.
  • Execute the promotion of credit offerings in line with regulations.
  • Collaborate with and co-ordinate stakeholders from a diverse range of business functions.
  • Inform and contribute to brand and marketing strategies, business plans, forecasts and budget allocation.
  • Establish and maintain stakeholder networks across multiple business areas.
  • Introduce a culture of transparency and collaboration across and within the Performance Squad and other working meetings/briefings.
  • Lead eComm, CRM, Online Merch and CRO as a cross functional team in line with the brand proposition. Support and develop the eComm, CRM, Online Merch and CRO Leads to a Community of Practice model to share knowledge and support consistency.​​​​​​​

What you’ll have:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent or extensive work experience. 
  • Specialist knowledge of Retail/Marketing/Business/Trade.
  • Strong cognition of business structure, strategy and P&L.
  • Proven track record in CRM and digital management experience and/or ecommerce merchandising.
