The ideal candidate will be an experienced Business Analyst who has worked within IT previously.  You will join our DT function to support our digital transformation and continuous improvement drive. As a Business Analyst you will capture, analyse, validate, and document business requirements/user stories at the start of a project or programme of work. You will develop As-Is and To-Be process definitions and perform process or data analysis. You will act as the point of contact for the business and delivery teams regarding questions, challenges, or amendments to requirements throughout the project lifecycle and work alongside Product Managers when the required changes are delivered via squads. You must be adaptable and have experience of working in both agile and waterfall environments.  You must also have experience of working with third parties.

Responsibilities of the Business Analyst:

  • Where required, work alongside Product Managers within a Tribe/Squad environment in order to deliver agreed change in an agile environment.
  • Responsible for scope definition and business requirements capture.
  • Responsible for leading workshops, to understand the needs of multiple stakeholders and to facilitate the negotiation of these needs into agreed requirements.
  • Working with the Solution Architect, the BA is responsible for gap analysis, to understand and highlight where the proposed solution does not meet the business requirement(s).
  • Where required, support and lead RFI and RFP processes.
  • Help the business stakeholders envisage the future and formulate business impact assessments; identifying business owners and defining and rolling out updated business processes to support IT solution changes.
  • Where required, assist the Business and DT in the preparation of user acceptance test plans, test scenarios and test scripts to ensure the solution delivered meets the business requirements/acceptance criteria.
  • Assist the Business and DT Data squads with analysis of data requirements and preparation for programme and project cutovers.
  • Any other duties required by the line manager that are appropriate to the post, grade and level of responsibility of this role, for which the role holder has the necessary experience and/or training.  This may include mentoring and coaching junior members of the team.

  • Proven experience of interacting directly with end users.
  • Experience in testing.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically.
  • A great communicator, tactful diplomat, and problem solver.
  • Ability to understand and respond to both end user and delivery team needs in rapidly changing business environments.
