 The N Brown Data Community is one of the best in the country and we are building modern infrastructure to support the work of Data Science and Analytics in all our departments.  Currently, we are looking to create a new role of Head of Group Reporting to help accelerate our transformation. 

As Head of Group Reporting, you will be leading the team responsible for designing, building, and socialising the streamlined set of standard reports which will answer most of N Brown’s data questions for stakeholders across the business. In this role you will:

  •  Be hands on in project work
  • Develop and implement the reporting strategy by engaging with stakeholders across the business, understanding and documenting their requirements.
  • Be responsible for prioritising requirements and creating a roadmap with resource and SMEs aligned to our strategic pillars.
  • Design and build dashboards to deliver insight at scale
  • Continuously challenge and enhance our reporting capabilities introducing class-leading methodologies, technologies, and processes.

What experience are we looking for?

  • Extensive experience of working with diverse stakeholders to understand data requirements and building roadmaps. 
  • Significant ability to translate data requirements into visualisations in a modern reporting environment. 
  • Experience of challenging the status quo to drive team performance. 
  • Excellent SQL skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Practical knowledge of handling varied types of data, and experience in using it to produce business value. 
  • Good knowledge of statistical methods in practice from degree or equivalent practical experience. 

Desired Experience

  • Ability to prototype data transformation and visualisation code in Python. 
  • Experience of working with Data Lakes/Data Warehouses and associated technologies. 
  • Knowledge of S3, Athena, and associated AWS services, or equivalent cloud services. ​​​​​​​
