Here at N Brown we are looking for an experienced Test Analyst to join our BAU Web squad within our Engineering team. Working in a squad based Agile team you will be responsible for working within the squad to ensure the delivery of sprints/iterations/projects or releases to deliver the agreed outcome.

We are looking for someone who proactively take responsibility, owning any issues arising and following through to resolve them (get the required result) This role requires a highly skilled individual who has had previous experience completing functional, automation and non-functional testing tasks and happy to switch between these areas and multi-task, when required. We’re looking for someone who proactively identifies areas for improvement and supports colleagues through sharing knowledge/experience.

To support and enable the squad in delivering and testing multiple solutions within projects or releases to implementation you will need:

  • Experience of testing Headless services, APIs, etc.
  • Knowledge of integration services essential
  • Knowledge of performance testing / benchmarking / usability testing, preferred
  • Experience of Automation testing is desired but not essential
  • Experience of working with Agile methodologies and a working knowledge of scrum and Kanban, would be an advantage
  • Experience of testing systems using an automated CI/CD pipeline using cloud computing, would be an advantage
  • Experience of testing complex systems, including the planning, executing and managing of these components through to completion
  • Experience of creating and maintaining a regression pack

What experience and skills are we looking for?

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and often conflicting priorities.
  • Ability in testing and test execution of projects or releases from a technical perspective, including being involved with hands on testing which is executed within N Brown.
  • Ability to produce compelling verbal and written communications, writing clearly, fluently and concisely.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and liaise on a technical level with Analysts, Designers and Developers to gain required knowledge for the design and creation of testing plans, scripts and supporting documents
  • ISEB/ISTQB testing qualification and practical application (Foundation to Practitioner).
  • Proven ability to define input to and understand test strategies and approaches that encompass the full testing life cycle.
  • Experience of working on business transformation programmes, with experience of defining and managing a variety of test strategies and approaches in a range of technology environments including mission critical 24x7 Applications.
  • Experience of Jira and other test tools.
