Here at N Brown, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IFRS9 Analyst to join our innovative Credit Risk team, within Financial Services.

As an IFRS9 Analyst, you will support the Portfolio Lending Manager in ensuring business debtor balances are adequately provided for under the IFRS9 standard and the IFRS9 model remains fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

Support and development of IFRS9 model, MI and governance to include:

  • Weekly management & reporting of the IFRS9 provisions to Budget and Forecasts
  • Refreshing the IFRS9 model input assumptions using the micro and macro data available
  • Monitoring/reporting of the IFRS9 provision trends, together with providing an understanding of the drivers to key stakeholders
  • Ensuring accurate analysis of IFRS9 data inputs and outputs
  • Ensuring up to date IFRS9 model documentation
  • Reporting of IFRS9 results through governance framework
  • Ensure that the model remains fit for purpose and reflects sector benchmarking and changes to economic outlook
  • Supporting half-year & year end audit process with external auditors and Finance
  • Enhancement of the IFRS9 forecasting model
  • Liaise with and support the Finance team ensuring key judgements can be substantiated

What We’re Looking For:

  • The successful applicant will be highly analytical with strong technical skills with an eye for detail
  • Strong technical skills in both SAS and SQL
  • Good communication and presentational skills including PowerPoint / Word
  • A background in credit risk is essential
  • A background in IFRS9 together with model development & management is essential
  • To be able to build key stakeholder relationships
