The Role and responsibilities

We’re looking for someone to join our Simplybe Brand Marketing team as a Trainee Brand Marketing Assistant. This is within our Brand and Creative department, and you will be at the very heart of the team! This role is based at our headquarters in the Northern Quarter. With the support of the Brand Lead, they will:

  • Work with our Buying and Design teams to identify the best products for photoshoots, editorial stories and campaigns (including social media, influencers and TV).
  • Work with our Merchandising teams to check stock, prices and status for product featured in our campaigns.
  • Have the opportunity to write creative briefs for marketing stories.
  • Support the team by updating the content calendar and activity tracker daily with campaigns, messages and events.
  • Research trends and opportunities for Simply Be.

  • You will develop your technical skills through gaining an insight into Brand Marketing and content creation.You’ll learn about the world of marketing, with exposure to above the line advertising, organic and paid social, influencers, onsite, email and pay per click – a great foundation for any aspiring marketeer.  As well as this, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the UK’s top media and creative agencies!
  • You will also develop your creativity, communication (verbal and written), attention to detail, organisation, self-management, teamwork and relationship-building skills.

As well as this, you will have:

  • Regular feedback on your work from colleagues so you can learn and adapt.
  • A buddy to support you when you join and throughout your time with us.
  • Training and development support from us and from the Prince's Trust, youth employability experts, to build your skills for the working world and your future!

What are we looking for?

Do you have an interest in fashion and marketing? Do you consider yourself to be a creative thinker and always willing to learn more in the marketing world? If so, then this could be the role for you. 

  • We’d love someone with a “can-do” attitude that likes to work with others, loves communicating (verbal and written) and enjoys building relationships with people.
  • You should also consider yourself to be organised and has good attention to detail. 
  • We’re looking for someone who might have had work experience and/or academic knowledge of Marketing, Creative (graphic design, styling, visual merchandising), English or Media.
