The Role and responsibilities

We are building our exciting new home brand! Home Essentials will help customers make their dream rooms a reality, with modern, stylish and accessible products. Our Marketing team create campaigns to communicate this to the nation, from TV to social media and influencer activity. We’re looking for a Trainee Marketing Assistant to join us and play a key role in helping make this happen. This role is based at our headquarters in the Northern Quarter and you will:

  • Support our team with sourcing product for Above the Line production (ATL) including activities relating to stock, communicating with our suppliers and the studio as well as managing their returns to the business.
  • Be getting the right price information from our Product teams, looking after the team cost tracker and closely monitor our purchase orders, helping to ensure the team stays on budget.
  • Be our team expert with our image library and ensure we have the right images to deliver our plans. 
  • Complete general administration duties and help co-ordinate important meetings and workshops. ​​​​​​​

What are we looking for?

Do you have an interest in fashion, retail and influencer marketing? Do you consider yourself to be a creative thinker and always willing to learn more in the marketing world? If so, then this could be the role for you. 

  • We’d love someone with a “can-do”, positive attitude that has great written and verbal communication skills. 
  • You should enjoy working in a team environment and building relationships with people. 
  • For experience and qualifications, you may have had work experience and/or academic knowledge of Marketing, English, Media, Graphic Design or ICT. 
  • It would be advantageous to have working knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
