The Role and responsibilities

As a member of the Group Finance Team, we’re looking for a Trainee Finance Systems Administrator to support the wider team in administering and enhancing the various systems across all areas of Finance and you will be at the very heart of the team! This role is based at our headquarters in the Northern Quarter. Reporting into the Finance Systems Administrator, they will:

  • Assist with various tasks relating to email, including communicating with external companies on updating terms and conditions, checking for and following up with any missing information we have on the organisations we work with and answering general queries asked by employees across the wider Finance team.
  • Maintain our internal systems and keep all information up to date; this includes checking and adding new details and making sure status and payment terms are correctly to ensure we are able to pay organisations on time.
  • Work alongside the Finance Systems Analyst and learn how create reports that will be shared across the team.
  • Be involved with activities relating to reviewing and improving our processes and how we do things at N Brown. ​​​​​​​

What will you get?

  • You'll develop your technical skills as you will be trained on how to use various internal Finance systems including Oracle Financials, IBM planning and analytics and HSBC Net, as well as Microsoft software.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for individuals who really want to develop their skills into a Finance related role in the future!

  • You should consider yourself to be organised, analytical, like completing tasks related to accuracy and detail and are always willing to learn!  
  • We’d love someone with a “can-do” attitude that is prepared to get involved with lots of different activities.
  • You would also be comfortable working independently, yet feel able to ask questions whenever you needed!
  • For experience and qualifications, you may have had work experience and/or academic knowledge relating to Finance, Maths or ICT.
  • We would need someone who is comfortable in using Microsoft Excel at an intermediate/advanced level for this role.
