We’ve won some of the biggest retail awards for our use of AI and our projects feature in our annual financial reports recognising data as one of our key strategic pillars. We regularly showcase what we do hosting some of the largest Data Science conferences in the North-West. We build data products to make real and seismic change. And today we are looking for a passionate MLOps Engineer to come on a journey with us and to help us succeed.

As a Machine Learning Engineer you will:

  • Deploy and automate scalable and reproduceable models, incorporating robust testing and monitoring pipelines which put data products into production.
  • Maintain software development standards (in SQL and Python) across the team, undertaking code reviews and being the gatekeeper of good coding practices.
  • Support the Data Science team in the use of their working environment (Athena, S3, SageMaker) to ensure the team have the tools to do their job.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Demonstratable interest in MLOps with enthusiasm to learn.
  • A good understanding of Python.
  • A basic understanding of ML frameworks and algorithms.
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critically, a passion to learn, collaborate, do amazing things with data science, and to help develop others in our data community.

Advantageous, but not expected:

  • Familiarisation with AWS (SageMaker, S3, Athena), or equivalent.
  • Familiarisation of the software development life cycle.
  • Familiarisation with SQL.
