At N Brown Group, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Fraud Team Manager to join our Financial Services team as Fraud & Financial Crime Team Manager. As a Fraud & Financial Crime Team Manager you’ll be managing a squad made of a wide range of fraud & financial crime tasks, their work focuses on protecting our customers & our Firm across varying time periods.

As a Team Manager you’ll possess many of the same responsibilities as a manager, however, you’ll work closely with the Head of Financial Crime to meet the Firm’s Fraud & Financial Crime Operational objectives. Ensuring the team runs at the optimum level using effective delegation, with accountability remaining with the Head of.

Your job will be to manage each member’s personal and professional development. You will hold weekly meetings with your team (as individuals and as a group) to ensure optimum performance and work closely with other Team Managers to ensure that best practice is shared. You’ll also aggregate the feedback from your team into the Head of Financial Crime to ensure we continue to improve our processes, systems & training.

As a Fraud & Financial Crime Team Manger you’ll have three main focuses:

  • Make sure our customers (& victims) are satisfied: their issues fixed quickly & completely. This will include detecting fraud (via various channels: trends, SQLs, investigations, notifications), proactive customer notification, remediation and response. This will involved organising people around you and taking quick action when you see a problem arising- helping to build processes that are fit for purpose, supporting training or addressing something which isn’t working.
  • Helping each member of your team with their personal and professional development; helping them through hard times & celebrating their successes.
  • Working closely with the Head of Financial Crime ensuring the business needs are met from the other team managers & operational team.

  • Building your knowledge* & sharing knowledge with team & peers.
  • Regularly reviewing the quality of your team’s customer interactions to identify areas of potential improvement; both individually and structurally.
  • Motivating your team- we’re rapidly growing & changing you’ll need to ensure your team remain engaged through times of demand.
  • Working closely with the Head of Financial Crime to provide direction to the rest of the team & cascading concerns up so change can be actioned.
  • Overseeing the Fraud & Financial Crime Team when the Head of Financial Crime is unavailable.

Your working life?

  • You’ll be managing a team Monday to Friday with some weekend work based on business need. Shifts can range between 8am-6pm.
