The Senior Analyst - FP&A is responsible for facilitating the Group financial planning process - defining, co-ordinating and consolidating the financial plans including linkage to strategic plans and scenario planning.  The Senior Analyst – FP&A is also responsible for co-ordinating the financial calendar and key deadlines, and for supporting the financial Risk and Opportunities (R&O) process.

The role will also create the executive and plc board reporting of both financial and relevant non-financial performance and perform associated analysis

​​​​​​​Additional responsibilities include:

  • Creation of reporting and analysis which enables a focus on delivery of the highest commercial value and ensuring optimal performance on financial/performance targets/KPI’s - across P&L, cashflow & balance sheet
  • Building and improving the financial planning processes and the financial calendar (business plan, budget & forecast)
  • Contribute to the creation of the long term strategic financial plan - ensuring clear alignment of financial outcomes with strategic objectives
  • Co-ordinate with Commercial Finance and Financial Control to create the annual budget, in-year forecasts and maintain regular risks and opportunities quantification for the Group in accordance with financial planning process
  • Work with the Financial Control team to provide the link between divisional results and statutory results and ensuring compliance with statutory and Group Financial obligations
  • Develop financial models and analyses of business, products, margins etc - identifying weaknesses and opportunities for improvements to drive profitability.
  • Supporting competitor and market performance analysis
  • Preparation of financial reports to Executive and plc boards & Senior Manager Team

What we’re looking for:

  • Formal finance qualification: CIMA/ACA/ACCA
  • Strong commercial awareness and a customer first approach
  • Strong commercial problem solving & analytical skills
  • Able to work with and influence business stakeholders as well as fellow finance professionals
  • Confident, clear and concise communication skills and strong influencing skills
  • Highly driven and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to perform well in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Innovative and curious, willing to question the status quo and learn.
