We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Coordinator of Learning - Science to lead our science department in delivering an outstanding curriculum and fostering a passion for scientific inquiry among our students. As Coordinator of Learning, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the delivery of the science curriculum, supporting teachers, and promoting excellence across the department. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated educator to inspire the next generation of scientists and innovators at Leigh Academy Minster.

Our newly appointed candidate will continue the development and implementation of Science across the academy and have the opportunity to develop the KS3 MYP Curriculum. Supporting the Deputy Director of Learning, you will help raise the quality of teaching and learning in the department for all of our students.

As an IB World School, applicants that have previous experience in delivering this curriculum are of strong interest to us but please note that this criterion is not essential as training will be provided.

Our successful candidate will advise and support the Senior Leadership Team on the development and implementation across all key stages including;

  • appropriate courses
  • schemes of work
  • assessments
  • Data Analysis of student progress
  • teaching and learning strategies
  • staff development needs

The basis of this role is full-time, permanent and offering a salary of MPS/UPS commensurate with experience plus a TLR2A (£3,409). Interviews for this position will take place on Monday 13th May.
