About the role: The Tonbridge & West Kent School Sport Partnership (TWKSSP) is looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic Sports Development Officer to support the progression and development of physical education and school sport within the TWKSSP. The role is full time and is fixed term until the end of the academic year, due to funding, which will be reviewed annually.
Based at Hayesbrook Academy in Tonbridge, the post holder will support in the delivery of the partnership PE programme, develop an extensive school sport offer and assist in the facilitation of events, festivals and community driven projects to raise standards and enhance the school’s physical activity opportunities. About Hayesbrook Academy: Hayesbrook Academy is a non-selective boys Academy, with a mixed Sixth Form, that serves the communities of Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas, with all students supported and challenged to reach their own personal excellence. About The Tonbridge & West Kent School Sport Partnership (TWKSSP): TWKSSP is committed to providing high quality physical education sporting opportunities across the schools within the local area. We currently work with 75 schools across Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Cranbrook supporting these schools in a number of ways that is appropriate and applicable to them.
The partnership delivers the national School Games programme, and offers a comprehensive buy-in scheme to support primary schools achieve the recommended outcomes of the sport premium funding. The School Sports Partnership also works with National Governing Bodies and other agencies assisting the development of coaches, officials, volunteers and the wider workforce. We have earned a great reputation and constantly strive to improve on the service we deliver.
