The Leigh Academy remains to be one of the highest-achieving state comprehensive schools in England and one of the most over-subscribed schools in Kent. We have a fantastic opportunity to appoint a Teacher of Maths to join us from Easter 2024 (or earlier dependent on availability) and be part of a team that is truly changing lives and positively transforming the local community. Our successful candidate will quickly become an integral part of our department who have achieved great successes in recent years.
We can be receptive to applications from ECTs who are able to start their employment before the summer break. We also offer a professional development package designed around you within the academy and across the wider Trust.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering a salary of MPS/UPS + London Fringe allowance, commensurate with experience.

The purpose built academy has the most up-to-date, technologically advanced facilities available. It is divided into four Colleges each containing 400 students aged 11-18 taught by their own staff. We believe that these smaller schools within the Academy develop deeper relationships and lay stronger foundations for learning which underpin outstanding achievement.

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2022, our Trust comprises 30 geographically organised academies (14 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating 20,000 students, and employing 3,000 talented staff. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway. In addition, the Trust is responsible for one of the region’s biggest initial teaching training organisations, a large teaching school hub and is an accredited apprenticeship provider.
