The Leigh Academy has an exciting opportunity for an engaging and confident Teacher of Business Studies to join their thriving academy from September 2024. For the successful candidate we can offer the opportunity to join a collaborative team and wider Trust with highly experienced teachers and leaders working in the department. We have excellent grades across the subjects and year groups, but there is always room for progress of which our successful candidate will play a pivotal part in. We are looking for an inspirational, energetic and reflective individual who is passionate about developing excellent levels of attainment and achievement across the board.
Business Studies courses at The Leigh Academy are popular at GCSE and Post 16. We currently offer GCSE AQA Business for KS4 and BTEC Extended Certificate Business, LIBF Diploma in Financial Studies and the IB Business Management at KS5, all of which attract high numbers of students. The department is well resourced and encourages learning through interactive events, the 10X competition and good relations with local businesses. We provide a supportive student experience and work closely with other departments and pastoral teams to ensure an enjoyable education for all learners.

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st April 2024, our Trust comprises 32 geographically organised academies (16 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating more than 20,000 students and employing 3,000 talented staff.
