Job Description
Leigh Academy Hugh Christie is looking to expand its dedicated team of Cover Supervisors who provide vital support across the academy during periods of teacher absence, including PPA cover, school trips, and short-term leave.
We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an additional Cover Supervisor to join our team as soon as possible. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing classrooms, delivering instructions, and ensuring that students remain engaged with the work set by their class teachers. You will act as a supportive presence, answering general queries and providing essential feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behavior.
This is an exceptional opportunity for those looking to gain a deep understanding of a school’s day-to-day operations. It is particularly well-suited for individuals considering ‘Teacher Training’ in the near future, as the role allows you to explore a variety of subjects and classroom settings, significantly enhancing your professional experience.
Please note: Cover Supervisors are not responsible for planning lessons or the formal assessment of students' progress and development.
Join us at Leigh Academy Hugh Christie and play a key role in maintaining our high standards of learning and student engagement.
