We are seeking a Lead Practitioner - Science for September 2024, and enthusiastically invite applications from experienced educators who are passionate about science and dedicated to fostering exceptional progress among students.
Our ideal candidate will be a seasoned practitioner in the field of science, with a specialisation in one or more science disciplines such as Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. The successful applicant will possess a deep understanding of current advancements in science education and relevant examination standards. They will excel in delivering engaging and impactful lessons while maintaining high expectations for academic achievement and conduct. Collaborative teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to inspire learners are essential qualities for this role. In your capacity as a lead practitioner, you will collaborate with the Assistant Principal and fellow Lead Practitioners to drive whole-school initiatives related to teaching methodologies, pedagogical approaches, and assessment strategies. Additionally, you will contribute to our school's commitment to lifelong learning by providing coaching and professional development opportunities to staff members.
This role presents a unique opportunity to directly influence the quality of education and outcomes within the science department. We aim to elevate the profile of science education within our institution and increase student participation in additional science disciplines. As a Lead Practitioner - Science, you will play a pivotal role in advancing this mission.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering Leadership Scale, commensurate with experience.
