About the role: The Tonbridge & West Kent School Sport Partnership (TWKSSP) is looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic PE and School Sport Coach to support the progression and development of physical education and school sport within the TWKSSP. The role can be full or part time and is fixed term which will be reviewed annually. 

Operating from The Hayesbrook Academy in Tonbridge, the successful candidate will support in the delivery of the school sport partnership PE programme, develop an extensive school sport offer and assist in the facilitation of events, festivals and community driven projects to raise standards and enhance the school’s physical activity opportunities. The role is mobile, moving between various primary schools across the Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells area.​​​​​​​

About TWKSSP: TWKSSP is committed to providing high quality physical education sporting opportunities across the schools within the local area. We currently work with 75 schools across Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Cranbrook supporting these schools in a number of ways that are appropriate and applicable to them.

The partnership delivers the national School Games programme, and offers a comprehensive buy-in scheme to support primary schools achieve the recommended outcomes of the PE and School Sport premium funding. The School Sports Partnership also works with National Governing Bodies and other agencies assisting the development of coaches, officials, volunteers and the wider workforce. We have earned a great reputation and constantly strive to improve on the service we deliver.

We believe that participation in high quality PE and Sport is valuable in its own right because of the specific educational outcomes and the personal, social and health benefits. It is also a very effective means of engaging young people in their broader learning, by raising aspirations, providing motivation and promoting behaviours that lead to higher levels of attainment across the full range of school subjects.
