About the role: Strood Academy is seeking to appoint a creative, analytical and methodical Teacher of Science (maternity cover) to join the department from January 2023 (or earlier dependent on the successful candidates availability). You will be part of a vibrant, experienced, supportive science team; we believe in working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other to achieve great things and see this as the key to further developing innovative teaching and learning strategies.
The ideal candidate will be able to teach across the ability range for KS3 and KS4 and a real interest in developing teaching and learning is also important. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher to join an academy which is committed to providing high quality professional development opportunities and support a science team on its journey to outstanding.
Note that whilst the position is offered on a maternity cover basis for up to 1 year, every effort will be made to offer a substantive position thereafter, either at Strood Academy or within the wider family of academies across Leigh Academies Trust.
