About the role: Hartley Primary Academy has a great opportunity to appoint an experienced Lunchtime Supervisor who can offer their time during lunchtimes over 4 days per week, 2 hours per day (Monday - Thursday). The successful candidate will lead our team of friendly and supportive Lunchtime Supervisors who work with our children from Reception through to Year 6.  As the role is part-time during term time, it is ideal for those of you seeking work opportunities during school hours. Our successful candidate will start in post from September 2022 and be part of our friendly, welcoming team. To be suitable in this role, we are looking for someone with empathy, energy - and enthusiasm!

Responsibilities of the Lunchtime Supervisor Team include;

  • Putting out relevant numbers of tables/chairs and cutlery/beakers in time for mealtime
  • Ensure pupils enter the dining room safely and behave appropriately when queueing for their meal, and to ensure pupils have or are provided with a drink and that a sufficient amount of their meal has been eaten
  • To help with spillages, cutting up food and caring for pupils’ personal needs
  • Ensure plates, etc., are cleared from tables, wiped down and to ensure a clean and tidy environment is maintained
  • Assist in collecting pupils from collection point and escort to hall/classroom or patrol and supervise school areas used by the pupils at mealtimes
  • Offer, where applicable, a first aid service, during the mealtime to deal with any accidents that occur safely and quickly

Please be aware that this role offers additional responsibility whereby the successful candidate will lead the team of Lunchtime Supervisors.
