About the role:  We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced, motivated and dedicated Administrator to join our brand new school opening for September 2018; Leigh Academy Blackheath.  This is a truly rare opportunity and a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the opening of the school and beyond.  Working directly with the Principal, Emma Smith, this role offers the chance to develop a strong and collaborative working partnership with the Principal and stakeholders was well as being a main point of contact for many members of the local community ranging from parents of prospective students, carers, local organisations, and so on. This is a great time to join us as we embark on our journey. 

Duties during the pre-opening phase of the academy will vary greatly and our appointed candidate will be required to demonstrate an open minded approach to the tasks undertaken, and there will be scope to offer wider support to Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy for the initial 6-9 months in post.  The role then has scope to manifest into a fully operational Office Manager position for Leigh Academy Blackheath once the academy is open and running from September 2018 which will be discussed in due course. 

Our successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to manage the smooth day to day running of the administration process across Leigh Academy Blackheath, co-ordinating all activity for the school.  Previous experience in a similar capacity, ideally within an education sector, would assist in the success of applications and strong computer literacy skills in all Microsoft applications are essential due to the nature of this role.  Exceptional organisation skills are essential.

A further key responsibility of this role is to administer all social media activity, therefore our successful candidate will be able to demonstrate prior experience and also confidence in using wider IT packages and software.  Please consult the Job Description by clicking here for additional information.

Our successful candidate will join us on a working basis of 37 hours per week throughout the full year and will be entitled to 25 days annual leave per annum plus bank holidays.
