About the role:  The Leigh UTC are expanding their mentoring team; we are seeking to appoint a Learning Mentor who is confident in Maths to provide support for our Key Stage 4 pupils on the road to completing their GCSEs in 2018.  Working with small groups of pupils and also holding 1:1 intervention meetings with students who require the support, our successful candidate(s) will work with the Teachers and Heads of Department to boost the students' predicted grades and build their confidence.  Our successful candidate(s) will have achieved A*-B grade in Maths (or closely linked subject) and, as a desirable criteria, be educated to A Level which will enable you to prepare the students for what follows GCSEs if they were to select these as an option.
