About the role: We have a great opportunity for a caring, personable and compassionate individual to join us in the role of Student Services Manager at the Inspiration Academy @ The Leigh UTC. This is a brand new position which has arisen due to the expansion of our academy; we now have a Key Stage 3 cohort who will benefit greatly from our newly appointed 'SSM'. Responsible for managing the social, moral and spiritual well-being of the students across the college communities (in line with the Every Child Matters Agenda), our successful candidate will liaise with parents, carers and outside agencies as required, so strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Commencing September 2018, the working basis of the role is Term Time plus 1 week of inset, 37 hours per week.

In September 2017, following the request of the Department for Education due to our continued success, The Leigh UTC marked history by expanding its student intake to incorporate Key Stage 3 – the first UTC in the UK to do this. Furthermore, being the first UTC to have IB World School Status has enabled us to develop strong links in Germany and Qatar. The overarching mission of the Inspiration Academy is to develop curious, academically-skilled young people who aspire to be principled, compassionate learners. Our curriculum strives to create students who are self-motivated, competent, willing to take risks and lifelong learners.
