About the role:  Can you inspire our students in the subject of Design and Technology?  Are you passionate about this subject area, keen to find a job where you will love what you do on a daily basis?  We are looking for a Design and Technology Technician to join the academy to support the teaching and learning of students within this broad department, and to provide support and services to the staff and students in line with the academy policies and procedures.  Our successful candidate will be creative and enthusiastic, and it’s an ideal role for current Post 16 students or recent school leavers who would like first-hand experience in a paid position within the D&T remit.

This is a one year fixed-term position in the first instance and the experience gained will strengthen any future University, College or job applications.  The working basis of the role is 16 hours per week during Term Time.  How these 16 hours are worked throughout the week is negotiable and can be discussed during the interview process.  Click here to view the Job Description.

Our successful applicant will hold an
A Level
or equivalent qualification in one or more Design and Technology-related subjects. You'll be an effective communicator and be able to use your initiative. A flexible ‘can do’ attitude is also essential, as is the ability to provide the very best levels of service to all employees and stakeholders in the faculty. Our successful candidate will be committed to helping students achieve to the best of their ability.  You will be able to adapt to changing circumstances and embrace new ideas.
