About the role: To strengthen the Science Department further, Wilmington Academy is seeking to appoint a talented and inspiring Teacher of Science, starting from late August 2021. The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject, committed to academic excellence and have the ability to motivate, support and enthuse students. We are an IB World School delivering IB Biology and Chemistry, A Level Applied and Medical Sciences; training will be provided to upskill our successful candidate where necessary.  We also offer state of the art science labs!

About Wilmington Academy:  Wilmington Academy joined the Trust in September 2010. The academy is a highly successful, growing secondary of 1,100 pupils housed in state of the art buildings in a semi-rural location just outside of Dartford.  Rated by Ofsted as Good with Outstanding Leadership and Management, Wilmington offers a calm and purposeful learning environment where students can flourish and succeed.

Being a part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2020, our Trust will comprise 28 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 15 primaries and 2 special) educating over 16,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff.  We also have one further secondary academy in the development phase, due to open in September 2021.  The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway.
