Due to our expansion, the Thames Gateway Teaching School Hub, part of Leigh Academies Trust, has a truly exciting opportunity to appoint a Business Administrator to work at our Head Office based in Strood who will join us from September 2021. As Teaching School Hub we oversee training and development opportunities for schools across Medway, North Kent and beyond.

This role is offered as an 18-24 month apprenticeship contract and our successful candidate will work towards a nationally-recognised Level 3 Business Administration qualification, delivered by LAT Apprenticeships. Click here to read more about LAT Apprenticeships.  

Apprenticeship Summary
Annual wage: Actual salary £8,209 per annum (£10,000 full time equivalent)
Working weeks:  Monday - Friday, Term Time only 
Total hours per week : 37 hours per week (including the 20% training element of the Apprenticeship Programme)​​​​​​​
Apprenticeship duration: 18 - 24 months
Programme delivery type:  All modules are delivered as online learning which can be completed at your place of work
Start date: September 2021 
Apprenticeship level: Advanced Level Apprenticeship (Level 3)
Apprenticeship standard: Business & Administration
Essential entry qualifications: GCSEs A* - C, Maths and English (essential)

About Thames Gateway Teaching School Hub: Teaching School Hubs will be school-led centres of excellence for teacher and leadership training and development. The DfE vision for these centres is that they will ‘provide high quality professional development to teachers at all stages of their career. They will play a significant role in delivering the Early Career Framework and seek to be involved in the delivery of new Specialist National Professional Qualifications and Leadership NPQs. They will deliver school-based Initial Teacher Training and will promote and deliver other high-quality evidence-based professional development to school leaders and teachers.’ 

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2020, our Trust will comprise 28 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 15 primaries and 2 special) educating over 16,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff.  We also have one further secondary academy in development phase, due to open in September 2021.
