A Building Control career offers a unique opportunity to be involved in virtually all aspects of the construction process.  Based at our offices in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, this is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and experienced individual to join our vibrant and dynamic Building Control team.

In this vital role, you will work with technical experts, construction professionals and the general public, with opportunities to be involved in a diverse caseload, from domestic projects to major industrial and commercial developments in rural and urban areas.  You will also be involved with dangerous structures, demolition and enforcement cases.  You will be required to process applications, assess plans, inspect work on site and provide advice over the telephone, by e-mail or in person, in accordance with the Building Act and Building Regulations.

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are vital.  You should have strong analytical and judgement skills, comprehensive knowledge of construction matters, the Building Act, Building Regulations and related requirements, in order to interpret plans, information and data, as well as being a great problem solver.
