This post provides an exciting opportunity for a positive, self-motivated individual with good people skills to join our ambitious new Environment Services management team.  Based in Worksop, you will play a key role in developing and implementing service improvement plans, as well as managing the day to day delivery of the Council’s services for recycling, garden, residual, clinical, trade and bulky waste and street cleansing, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and to the highest operational standards. 

We are looking for an energetic individual with a progressive outlook, extensive staff management experience, including a track record of leading, developing and motivating individuals and teams.  The successful applicant will have experience of managing a large multi-disciplinary workforce delivering front-line public waste collection and street cleansing services, reviewing/revising rounds, implementing change, actively managing sickness and increasing income.  

You will be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of health, safety and waste legislation and experience of ensuring policies are up to date and followed in practice. You will need strong communication and problem solving skills, experience of managing high value budgets and performance reporting to deadlines.
