Following a successful and positive restructure process, Calderdale’s Integrated Commissioning, Contracts and Quality Team are pleased to offer an exciting new opportunity for individuals to join them in achieving their vision of improving outcomes for adults and children and young people in Calderdale

Working as a senior member of the Integrated Commissioning, Contracts and Quality Team the post holder will strategically lead on the contracting and procurement of services within Adults and Wellbeing, Children and Young People’s and Public Health Directorates ensuring the provision of high quality, safe and value for money client centred services. The post holder will have proven experience of large-scale contract management of social care and other adults or children and young people’s services. including performance reviews, action plans and dispute resolution processes

The post holder will strategically lead the Contracts Team and Brokerage Team ensuring all procurement, contract management and brokerage of managed services is in line with statutory and legal requirements. The post holder will lead on the development and implementation of systems, policy and procedures which ensure the effective procurement, compliance, monitoring and evaluation of contracts. 

We would welcome applications from innovative individuals who are able to take the lead in the management of change, have experience of identifying and managing high level risk and who have a demonstrable record of influencing and negotiation. Applicants will have significant experience of working with local partners and stakeholders with a strong knowledge of adults/ children’s social care. Applicants will have robust leadership and management skills, the ability to work in a politically sensitive environment and a commitment to improving outcomes.

Applications will be considered from those who can demonstrate their understanding of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and an understanding of relevant Social Care and Communities statutory legislation. It is essential that the post holder be MCIPS qualified (or working towards MCIPS qualification/has equivalent qualification and experience in procurement).
