If so, this post presents an exciting opportunity for a strong candidate to help shape the way we improve performance, productivity and achieve big ambitions. 

Working as a member of a service shared across two councils, you will lead and drive change and transformation, supporting the councils and their staff to deliver even better outcomes for residents.  You will get involved in a wide variety of work from developing strategies through to undertaking service reviews to make sure we’re always looking ahead, making the best use of technology and operating as efficiently as possible. 

You will be excited by building new teams and programmes of work, using your technical knowledge and creativity to find solutions to complex problems. You’ll need to be good at prioritising a varied workload and be experienced at providing information to senior officers and members. You will enjoy finding better ways of working and supporting organisational change by working with staff to enable and encourage new ways of working.

You will work with a high performing team at the corporate centre of the council but also engage on a daily basis with a wide range of colleagues; therefore, you will have excellent communications skills, and be able to build effective working relationships at all levels.
