Are you up for a challenge and looking for an exciting new opportunity? Do you have what it takes to become part of our Senior Management Team supporting, developing and implementing the vision, values and corporate strategy of our Council?
You will need to work collaboratively with Members, staff and various stakeholders to ensure that our organisation operates in an innovative, responsive and cost effective way to provide high quality outcomes to our community.
You need to be an influential, motivational leader able to encourage and foster a one team approach, supporting and developing our employees, with the ability to really bring about cultural change.
You must be customer focused, building and maintaining the Council’s reputation for excellent customer services and be able to adopt an entrepreneurial approach to actively plan for and seek out funding and commercial opportunities to attract funding, generate income and reduce costs.
Each post will have specific and clear objectives which, collectively, will deliver the Council’s Corporate Plan. To do this, you need to be a highly collaborative individual with a willingness to challenge and explore opportunities, different approaches and views to ensure sound and robust decisions are reached.

It is not only one of the most gorgeous parts of the country to live or work in, with dramatic moors, diverse coastline and an internationally designated UNESCO biosphere reserve all on your doorstep, but it is also vibrant with thriving communities full of character.
North Devon Council has ambitious objectives and a full programme of projects to deliver. We are currently constructing a new Leisure Centre in Barnstaple, a Watersports Centre in Ilfracombe and will shortly start to transform the commercial core of Barnstaple. We have ambition that goes beyond this though and you will play your part in successfully rolling this out.
