The role 

As a Programme Support Officer in the Health and Adult Social Care, Community Wellbeing team of the Finance & Policy Directorate, you will provide comprehensive support to corporate projects and programmes. The roles require individuals who can: work independently across multiple projects at any one time, provide comprehensive support to a large team, produce reports, chase external stakeholders for information, plan and prepare meetings and events, take minutes, raise orders and invoices, monitor budgets, routinely keep project information and records up to date, understand and follow corporate policies and processes. 

The role will include monitoring team budgets and reporting on income, including grants and associated contracts, ensuring compliance with financial systems and processes. 

The requirements

Successful applicants will need to be: team players who are flexible and capable of working with minimal supervision; well organised with the ability to plan and deliver a varied workload; highly capable and well-motivated; excellent communicators. They will also need to have strong interpersonal skills and have excellent attention to detail. Political sensitivity and outstanding communication skills are also essential to this post.
