Our Benefits Service administers Housing Benefits and Council Tax Support and will shortly be introducing a hybrid working policy of partial home/office working.

We are looking for a Senior Claims Officer to join our benefits team, to support the operational manager and team leader. This is a new post as Bassetlaw has a growing Supported Housing caseload and one of the duties will be to review the eligible rents and service charges (which may include site visits) and assist with the administration of these claims. You will also support the Claims Officers with benefits legislation queries and training. If you have had experience of working in a Housing Benefits environment and have a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes, then we would love to hear from you. Mileage will be payable.

If you would like to discuss the role, please contact Tracy Tapley at (01909) 533 533 or by email tracy.tapley@bassetlaw.gov.uk

We will value your contributions, give you access to a free healthcare cash plan and benefits, offer a very generous 25-31 days holiday package (pro-rata and rising incrementally each year and exclusive of public bank holidays) and give you the option to purchase additional annual leave days tax-free. We will double your monthly pension contributions and provide the option to join our shared cost AVC scheme, offer discounted car parking of around £4 per month, and family friendly policies.
