Lancashire County Pension Fund is one of the largest local government pension funds in the UK.  It has over £10 billion of assets and provides a means of pension savings and retirement security for approximately 183,000 members and over 300 organisations.  In 2016 the fund outsourced its pension investment management and administration services to a joint venture partnership, Local Pensions Partnership.  The Lancashire County Pension Fund has been successful in setting up and managing this partnership arrangement and has robust governance arrangements in place.  The fund was awarded the accolade of Local Government Pension Fund of the Year in 2020.

The Fund currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Governance Officer.  The role, working to the Governance & Risk Officer, will help to develop and deliver a high-quality governance service to the fund.  The purpose of the role is to ensure compliance with relevant legislative/regulatory requirements, management of the risk framework and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including Local Pensions Partnership.

 Lancashire County Council is the administering authority for the fund. 

The post is based in Preston, however agile working will be part of the working arrangements.
