This is a newly created role in the Local Partnerships Marcomms team who have responsibility for building awareness, understanding and engagement that supports the organisation’s strategic objectives and its contribution to transforming the public sector.
As Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for project management of the Local Partnerships events programme including attendance at third party (external) conferences, awards, webinars, in-person presentations; and staff events including all team meetings and the annual away day.
The role will require exceptional communication skills, both in person and on digital channels as you work in close collaboration with the Marcomms team, internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and event partners.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Events planning: research, recommend, organise and co-ordinate events in line with strategic priorities, including budgeting, resource, risk assessments, generating and monitoring KPIs
- Project manage all event logistics, including attending some in person events and all online events. For in person events, logistics would include venue setup, signage, AV and attendee registration. For online events, this would include set up of webinar platform, facilitating audience registration/sign in and technical support during the event.
- Ensure all events are delivered to high standard, on budget and secure excellent attendance.
- Research and maintain longlist of relevant external events, conference and awards.
- Maintain digital calendar(s) of internal and external events.
- Create compelling event concepts with supporting content that will engage target audiences.
- Amend, design and create PowerPoint presentations by working with business unit experts and the Marcomms team.
- Co-ordinate and create engaging social media content with an analytic eye to monitor the success of the work.
