There are four posts available; one in each of the four NHSE regions: London, South, Midlands and East and North.
The postion is part-time at 17.5 hours per week.
This is a fixed-term position until 31st March 2017.
The Local Government Association (LGA) is seeking to recruit a talented, dynamic professional to lead and shape the collaborative approach in implementing Transforming Care and systems reform. These roles are home-based but will link to the NHS regional office and involve occasional travel to attend meetings.
This is an important time for care and support services in bringing about reform to improve individual outcomes and their experience, and the role will be pivotal in working with councils and partners to fully realize this ambition.
The role will require substantial senior level experience of social care, especially within learning disabilities services and of leading change across a complex system. The successful candidate will need to be very skilled at building and maintaining strategic relationships, including those with politicians and creating innovative solutions to complex issues.
