About the job:
Key duties will include creating exciting and engaging digital content for websites, social media and other LGA digital communications such as ebulletins. You will be expected to deliver high quality content to tight deadlines and to adapt content to optimise reach and improve targeting. You will need to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and provide support and advice on appropriate channels and content.

You will be joining the digital team at an exciting time as we will be launching a new website in March 2017 – new look and feel, new site structure and new CMS (Drupal).

The post is offered as a fixed term contract to cover parental leave of current post holder.

About you:
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate experience of having worked in a fast moving digital team, producing high-quality content in a timely manner. You will have a strong record of delivering effective content based on analysis and evaluation. You will be highly organised and have good written skills. You will be an enthusiastic team player and be able to develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders quickly.

The LGA is currently temporarily based in Farringdon, London due to the refurbishment of our primary address, Local Government House in Smith Square, Westminster.  This is likely to be for a period of up to 12 months from November 2016 after which we will return to Westminster.
