The role
We are a politically led organisation and are looking for a Political Adviser to join the team in our Labour Group Office. You will work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment, advising and supporting the Labour Group councillors, working on a daily basis with councillors, Shadow Ministers, MPs and other senior politicians on a range of issues of importance to Local Government.
The requirements
Based in the LGA’s offices in the heart of Westminster, you will have experience of working in a political environment, and an understanding of local government, public policy work and parliamentary procedures. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and a very high degree of political sensitivity.
