The role
The Conservative Group Office consists of a small team of four who provide wide-ranging and active support to Conservative councillors.
We:
• Support the Conservative Group Lead Members and Conservative councillors on boards and in roles at the LGA
• Work to create and maintain strong relations with the Parliamentary Conservative Party
• Arrange events, meetings and seminars for councillors across the country.
• Send regular communications to Conservative councillors.
The requirements
You will be working within a small team of four and will be used to being the first point of contact with enquiries and will be expected to prioritise your workload accordingly.
In the fast paced, ever changing world of local government, we are looking for someone who has a flexible approach to work and can adapt to meet changing work requirements.
It goes without saying that you will have real political sensitivity and the ability to work with discretion and confidentiality. An understanding of local and central government is desirable.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-starter who can provide support both at a political and administrative level, with excellent oral and written skills.
Closing Date: 5pm, 5 March 2018
Interview Dates: 13 or 14 March 2018
