The role
Housing is likely to continue as a priority issue for national and local government, and councils are finding new and innovative ways to deliver new housing, to build places, and to reduce homelessness. The LGA will look to fund a number of projects supporting councils to better help their communities. 

The successful candidate will have responsibility for programme managing the LGA’s housing improvement offer, this will include overseeing a range of projects working with partners and councils. The successful candidate will work as part of a small team leading on the housing, planning and homelessness policy. 
 
We are looking for a capable all-rounder, an individual able to make things happen, able to adapt and make a success of new opportunities, comfortable in developing relationships across a range of partners, and experienced in programme managing and coordinating activity across a complex and fast moving policy environment. 
 
They will work closely with colleagues across the LGA’s improvement programme.

You will have the ability, knowledge, and experience to engage with government, local government, and organisations from across the public, private and voluntary sectors. 
 
You will be independent and self-motivated, well-organised and able to lead and co-ordinate a breadth of activity across a range of partners. You will be a problem-solver, and a team player.
 
The person we offer this post to will be able to understand complex issues quickly, and be able to communicate effectively.
