About us
ADASS, the charity and national leadership organisation for Directors of Adult Social Services, has a key role in influencing policy, supporting its members and sharing good practice. The Association's strength is based on its network of 152 local authority directors and their wider teams. Our members play a key role locally, regionally and nationally.
About the role
Our Chief Officer is reducing their hours, so we are looking for flexible additional capacity to support them and the ADASS President and Trustees, providing high level policy and organisational support, co-leading the staff team and securing our resources to support the organisation. Key lead areas will be negotiated with the Chief Officer based on respective strengths.
About you
The successful candidate will co-lead a small staff team focussing on communications, policy and resources. As part of a small team the successful candidate will undertake other duties and responsibilities appropriate to the post.
Applicants will be current or recent Directors of Adult Social Services and will be highly effective and versatile operators, able to work well at pace with Government and other partners and to support Trustees, policy and regional leads and the Association's members to influence thinking and to deliver change.
