Job description
We are pleased to be advertising this innovative and rewarding post, which will be critical to taking forward our early intervention and prevention strategy for children and families in Pembrokeshire.
Educated to at least Degree level and with a professional qualification in either education or social work, you will have experience of operational management of services for children, young people and families, and an ability to think and work strategically on a multi-agency basis. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also important in the role.
Reporting jointly to the Head of Children's Services and the Head of Performance and Community in Education, your key responsibilities will be:
- Pembrokeshire's Team Around the Family service
- The education Parent Partnership service
- Oversight of our Autism and speech and language support services
- Lead manager for Pembrokeshire's GBP 4.4m Children and Communities Grant (CCG), supporting our CCG Strategy Group, and ensuring the delivery of our 3-year strategy for early intervention and prevention.
The post holder will take a lead role in enhancing developing preventative services in partnership with key agencies, the Third Sector and communities. Experience of engagement and consultation, and knowledge of pooling budgets to shape and deliver services, will be a distinct advantage for the post.
