Whilst on the programme you will also take part in the NGDP’s leadership development course whereby, upon the completion of a series of regional meetings, online tutorials and course assignments, you will be accredited an ILM Level 7 Certificate in Leadership and Management.

Please read before applying

The Local Government Association’s (LGA) NGDP support team are hosting the application link for Lambeth Borough council’s local campaign for the national graduate development programme (NGDP). The NGDP support team will invite successful candidates to each stage of the NGDP recruitment process including online tests, video link and assessment centres and will refer those that are successful at stage 3 for an interview with the council.

The LGA and Lambeth Borough Council will review your application in partnership, and Lambeth Borough Council will be responsible for shortlisting your application against their set criteria for local candidates, whilst the LGA ensure that you have met the boundaries for the NGDP test and assessments during the recruitment process.

Your local application will progress in the same timeframe as the NGDP’s national campaign and you will be assessed alongside candidates that have applied to the national campaign. The LGA’s NGDP support team facilitates the assessment of all nominated local candidates in line with national candidates to ensure they meet the same standard. Successful candidates will become part of the national cohort with access to NGDP learning and development, networks and knowledge events, but will be exclusively interviewed by their chosen council if they are a successful local candidate following assessment centres.
