You will work closely with the Programme Manager (Care & Health Data) to provide data, analysis and reporting to support CHIP’s programme. You will help to develop new reports, tools and visual representations of data, and intelligence for adult social care and carry out day-to-day ad-hoc requests to meet reporting and other data requirements.

Data and intelligence for adult social care is becoming increasingly important and is experiencing a period of significant change. Working closely with ADASS regional networks this role will be an important part of ensuring that adult social care is able to maximise the opportunities for gaining insights and intelligence from the data available. The postholder will need to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to help shape the future direction for adult social care data and intelligence. The role and work will be varied, and you will need to make sense of lots of data and information to provide quality insights for adult social care.

Duties for this role will include:

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across CHIP and ADASS Regional teams to develop and promote the use of intelligence to support sector led improvement for adult social care
  • Developing benchmarking and other data reports and tools, utilising LG Inform and other visualisations
  • Ensuring that robust data quality arrangements are in place for any surveys, collections and / or analysis
  • Analysing adult social care data and intelligence, identifying trends and insights to inform improvement.

This is an exciting role for the right candidate with opportunities to be involved at this pivotal time for adult social care intelligence. You will have exceptional data visualisation skills, attention to detail and experience of using analysis software such as Excel to create data visualisations to answer specific questions. The successful post-holder will be a key part of the Care and Health Improvement Programme team. We are looking for team players with data analysis skills who can write and communicate well, and have good organisational abilities.
