At Livability, we’re looking for caring and community-minded people to:

  • Provide the highest standards of professional support to students in the Centre during the school day, including supporting with their physical, emotional and educational development
  • Communicate with the students we support, using their preferred means of communication and encouraging them to voice their own choices, needs and options freely
  • Promote and reinforce students’ self-esteem, social development and independence, encouraging students to interact with others and engage in activities
  • Provide direct care to all young people in line with agreed standards of care, to include personal hygiene, feeding and meeting their medical needs as required (after appropriate training and support)

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be able to build and maintain successful relationships with students; treating them consistently with respect and consideration
  • Have a good general awareness of key legislation relating to health and safety in the workplace
  • Be flexible, adaptable and work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Have a compassionate nature, with a real desire to help others
