Job Description

“Meaningful Career, No Experience Needed”

Looking for a career that makes a real difference?
Are you honest, respectful, fun, compassionate, and kind? If so, you might be exactly who we’re looking for.

At MacIntyre, we support adults with learning disabilities in Leicester to live meaningful, fulfilling lives. We recruit based on values, not experience — because we believe the right attitude matters more than a CV. Full training is provided.

Why a Support Worker role?

Many people join us from retail, hospitality, care, admin, or customer service — often because they want something more rewarding and stable. While many sectors are changing or shrinking, the social care sector continues to grow, offering:

  • Long-term job security
  • Clear career progression
  • Recognised qualifications & full training
  • Truly meaningful work

What does the role involve?

Every day is different. You’ll be supporting people to live the life they choose — whether that’s learning new skills, contributing to their community, or enjoying hobbies and days out.

You might:

  • Support James as he volunteers at a local food bank
  • Help Lucy get ready for horse riding
  • Cheer on Graham as he becomes more independent
  • Join David as he creates his next creative project

It’s about being there, encouraging independence, and celebrating individuality.
