Job Description

Work life getting a bit too monotonous? Why not start a career in social care that can be both rewarding and adventurous? No experience necessary: we'll train you.

We're looking for full-time Support Workers to join the team at Bradbury Bungalow, which is home to three gentlemen aged 50 to 70, who each have a learning disability.

Intrigued to know a bit more about them?

Let us introduce you to the wonderful David*! He enjoys watching films on Netflix, solving puzzles, colouring and playing darts.  David uses sign language to communicate, however he is happy to teach anyone the basic signs.

Ben* is an ABBA fanatic! (Who isn't?!) He enjoys listening to Abba and attends every Abba tribute concert held at the local theatre/venues. His love for dogs, especially Collies would be the ultimate ice breaker!

They all enjoy trips to the pub, have a great sense of humour and likes nothing more than hearing jokes over tea and biscuits. Having a good Chinese take away would be their ideal Saturday Night routine!

This is just a taste of their uniqueness!

What will you be doing?

You'll support them to enjoy their hobbies and interests, keep in touch with friends and family, and maintain connections in the local community.  Your colleagues will tell you it's a very rewarding job where no two days are the same.

Another nice feeling is handing over your Blue Light discount card and making savings at the checkout. This is just one of the many ways we like to reward our employees.
