About the role

In our award-winning coffee shops, we support and teach a wonderful group of adults helping them to gain skills involved with hospitality, customer care, food preparation, baking, money management and a number of other duties involved with running a busy café and catering department.  

As well as learning about basic food preparation, the individuals we support also enjoy shopping and attending/ serving at community events.  As a result, you will need to have a flexible approach to the work environment and hours, as weekend and evening working will be expected.

About you

It would be a definite plus if you could bring customer-service experience with you, however this is by no means essential. In return, MacIntyre will provide you with a full induction and ongoing training, including the opportunity to gain nationally accredited vocational qualifications, free of charge. 

You will be happy to work as part of a busy team but also able to work one-to-one with the people we support, using your own initiative when required.
Whatever your background, we will support you to access all training needed to ensure you become a confident and successful support worker.  With your key attributes and our training, together we can deliver the best possible support.

Training and Development

At Macintyre we fully support your training and development. We know it can be daunting to start a new job, and not everyone learns the same way, so throughout your probation we will provide you with a mixture of eLearning, face-to-face training and mentoring support whilst on the job.
