Would a term- time role in education suit your lifestyle? No experience necessary we will train you.
With an increase in students registered for the new term, we are creating a number of new roles to join our education team.
As a Community Teaching Assistant, you won't be confined to the classroom. You'll teach young people aged 16 to 25, whose learning difficulties or autism mean that mainstream education won't always meet their needs. Using tailored curriculum, you teach what is important for the individual; key life skills and appropriate lessons in literacy, numeracy and ICT.
You'll work in the High Wycombe and Flackwell Heath area, working either full-time (38 hours) or part-time (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) on a 39 weeks a year contract.
Every day is different but one thing is the same: the achievement you will feel as you watch young people blossom into adulthood.
Experience is not essential
For us, the underlying ability and attitude are more important than experience to make a great Community Teaching Assistant.
If you have not worked in education before then please don’t be put off. We can provide all of the specialist training you need but we can't train you to be kind, to have initiative, to be friendly and patient and those are essential qualities for this work.
You'll need good functional skills, including English, Maths and ICT.You must be a driver with your own transport insured for business use, willing and able to travel across the area. Reasonable mileage is reimbursed.
